Taipei European School’s French Section is seeking a dedicated Supply Cover Primary Teacher (English and/or French) to work on an on-call basis. The teacher will cover staff absences and work with different student groups, requiring flexibility, adaptability, a caring attitude, and a commitment to strong pupil outcomes.
Responsibilities include setting high expectations, promoting pupil progress, demonstrating strong subject and curriculum knowledge, planning well-structured lessons, adapting teaching to individual needs, using assessment productively, managing behaviour effectively, safeguarding pupil wellbeing, and fulfilling wider professional responsibilities.
Applicants should have strong English proficiency; French-cover candidates should also have high French proficiency. Preferred qualifications include a Master of Education, or a recognized university degree plus PGCE, CAPES, or equivalent. A Bachelor of Education may be considered with relevant experience or state teaching certification. International-school and multicultural teaching experience are advantageous.
