The Language Education Institute (LEI) is the language-teaching and research institute of Seoul National University. It began in 1963 as the Language Research Institute and was reorganized as the Language Education Institute in 2001. It operates several units, including the Korean Language Education Center (KLEC), Foreign Language Education Center, TEPS Center, Language Assessment Center, and Language Education Research Center.
