BASIS International School Shenzhen is seeking an English Language Arts Teacher for its Middle School for the 2027–28 academic year, starting in Fall 2027.
The teacher will develop students’ writing, grammar, reading comprehension, literary analysis, and rhetorical skills within a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, differentiating instruction, building positive relationships with students, supporting academic achievement and personal responsibility, collaborating on interdisciplinary learning with colleagues in subjects such as drama and history, and contributing to the wider school community.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in English, literature, education, or a closely related subject area
• At least two years of lead classroom teaching experience, required for the Chinese work visa
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Commitment to high academic standards
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional learning and coaching
